Proverbly (“Proverbly”, “we”, “us”) is a mobile application for reading and studying the Book of Proverbs through guided daily studies. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. We keep it plain-spoken on purpose.
Proverbly is operated by Edgard Pacheco. If you have any question about this policy or your data, contact us at support@proverbly.app.
When you create an account (with email & password, Sign in with Apple, or Sign in with Google) we collect your email address and, when provided, your name. With Sign in with Apple you may choose to hide your email, in which case we receive Apple’s private relay address.
Optional details you add: display name, profile photo (avatar), short bio, preferred language, and preferred Bible version.
Content you create in the app: journal entries, notes, highlights, reflection answers, and study progress. This content is yours and is stored so you can access it across sessions and devices.
To operate and improve the app we record product-interaction events (for example: a study opened, a chapter completed, a feature used) tied to your account, and — only if you leave crash reporting enabled — crash diagnostics. You can turn analytics and crash reporting off in Settings → Privacy.
You can use Proverbly as a guest without an account. In guest mode we do not create an account record for you and do not collect your email or name.
We do not use advertising identifiers (no IDFA), and Proverbly does not track you across other companies’ apps or websites.
Where the GDPR applies, we process your data to perform our contract with you (providing the app), on the basis of your consent (optional analytics, crash reporting and notifications), and for our legitimate interests in keeping the service secure and functional.
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with service providers that help us run Proverbly, under confidentiality obligations:
We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety and security of our users and the service.
We keep your data for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Account → Delete Account. Deletion removes your account and associated personal data from our systems. You can also export your data from Settings → Privacy before deleting.
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to withdraw consent. You can exercise most of these directly in the app (edit profile, export data, delete account), or by emailing support@proverbly.app. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law.
We use industry-standard measures — encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS), authenticated access, and row-level access controls — to protect your data. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to safeguard your information.
Proverbly is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country), and we do not knowingly collect their personal data. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.
Your data is stored on our server and may be processed in a country different from where you live. Where required, we take steps to ensure an adequate level of protection for such transfers.
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above and, for material changes, notify you in the app.
